It’s not easy for me to put myself out there publicly with such a personal story, but I really enjoy giving credit where credit is due, and in this case, I feel my attorney – Jamie Deremiah – deserves some recognition and praise for a job well done!
A while back, I was involved in a serious auto accident that was not my fault, and it was a very traumatic experience for me both physically and emotionally. I ended up being unable to work or do much of anything at all for a long period of time and am still dealing with the effects my injuries even today. I’m not going to get into a lot of details or specifics about the case because that’s not the point of this post, but I will say the other driver was highly intoxicated and driving way above the speed limit on the wrong side of the road when he crashed into me. The damage to both my vehicle and my body was quite severe.
I knew that I had to find a good lawyer to help me with all the legalities, paperwork, and other things associated with something of this nature. The problem was, I didn’t even know where to begin in order to find the best lawyer for me and my situation.
My Previous Experience
Many years ago, well before this accident, I did have a previous experience with hiring an attorney. Long story short, I was injured at work and needed a lawyer to represent me. My experience was very frustrating and did not go well at all, so this made me a little skeptical about hiring one again, but I knew I had to do it. I just wanted to be sure I didn’t make any of the same mistakes again.
Research Phase
I did some research and found there is a virtually endless number of lawyers out there that specialize in a wide range of services that all seemed to fit at least some part of my needs. I decided to focus on a few key points in order to narrow down my search. These included their experience, location, expertise in situations very similar to mine, fee structure, and most importantly whether I liked them during my initial contact.
This is how I met attorney Jamie Deremiah. He fit all of my criteria and more! Plus, our initial phone conversation went very well. He seemed to be very professional and knowledgeable as well as someone I would get along with and enjoy working with.
Our First Meeting
I scheduled a meeting with Jamie right away. He even went out of his way to come to meet me because of my limited mobility at the time. He also told me beforehand everything that I should have ready so I tried to collect all the necessary information, facts, and documents. It was nice to finally have someone giving me advice so I wasn’t completely lost anymore.
The first meeting went as smoothly as I could have ever hoped for or imagined. Mr. Deremiah was very professional, understanding, supportive and helpful throughout. He was also very easy to talk to and even made the meeting sort of fun & enjoyable, which is something I thought I would never say about a lawyer. He knew that I was in complete panic and he did his best to calm me down, telling me that everything will be alright. Being in an accident and going through all of this is stressful enough, so it helped a lot that he did not add to that stress, he put me at ease!
Anyway, I hired him on the spot, and I just knew inside that I had made the right decision. Ultimately, in the end, it turned out that I was right!
He Genuinely Cared
Attorney Deremiah was every pleasant and easy to deal with throughout the rest of the entire process. From my first formal meeting with him to the end of it all, I have no complaints. He explained everything in a way that I’d understand it. Aside from that, he was also very respondent every time I needed to talk to him about anything or ask any questions. Whenever I had to call him, he always actively returned my calls, as well as my emails. And every consultation with him was very relaxing and enjoyable.
Needless to say, he won the case for me. Then, he negotiated on my behalf and got me a much better settlement than what the insurance company originally offered. Not only that, he made sure to keep me informed and get my input before doing anything. He told me the good and the bad, and asked me what route I wanted to go without pressing me to do anything I didn’t want to do. He gave his professional opinion but made sure I understood everything and knew that it was ultimately my decision. He was with me on whatever I wanted to do.
I am very pleased with the service I got from him and the outcome of the case. He really is the type of attorney that you wish for when you need one. He actually cared about me and my case.
Would I Recommend Jamie Deremiah?
Without a doubt, I would, and I do! I very highly recommend his services and wouldn’t hesitate to even recommend him to my own family and closest friends. In my opinion he is perfect for anyone who needs a professional and competent lawyer that genuinely cares about the person and the case; not just the money.
